Droog Design Highchair

By designer Maartje Steenkamp. Hilarious and absurd for sure. The concept behind it is to put children on eye level with their parents, so the chairs get shorter as the kids get bigger. They also come with saws so you can make whatever subtle height adjustments you want.

Robert Stadler

Artist's description: "The Pools are three-dimensional forms, of differing sizes, which are laid on the floor or affixed to walls, looking like pools of water. They are associated with the Pouf! stool which seems to have grown in the corner of a room, like a mushroom. The whole piece is covered with black leather bosses, like the upholstery of a Chesterfield sofa. All the pieces elude precise description (are we dealing with a piece of furniture, a work, or a mutant?) and, as a result, juggle with the idea of use. They are parasites, whose presence raises the issue of what a domestic world without furniture would be like."
